UG Lubricants Research & Engineering Center

The UG Lubricants laboratory is more than just a tool for quality control — it is a modern research and engineering center where innovation in lubricants is born at the intersection of science, technology, and real-world application.

We are ISO 17025 certified, and all tests are conducted in accordance with international standards: ASTM, DIN, GOST, and DSTU. This ensures high accuracy, reproducibility of results, and full compliance with global market requirements.

The lab is equipped with over 50 approved testing methods and more than 20 advanced analytical instruments. Our equipment is sourced from Germany, the UK, China, and Turkey. We have the capability to perform full-scale evaluations of oils and greases — from core physico-chemical parameters to advanced tribological and load-bearing performance tests.

A key distinction of the UG Lubricants R&D center is the presence of pilot-scale production units that fully replicate our large-scale manufacturing processes. This provides a unique opportunity to:

• develop and implement new formulations for oils, greases, and technical fluids

• modify existing products to meet specific customer requirements

• conduct experimental pilot batches for future industrial-scale rollout

We actively participate in international interlaboratory qualification programs, including IIS (Institute for Interlaboratory Studies, Netherlands), confirming the precision, objectivity, and expertise of our team.
